Connecting Business to Business and Businesses to Customers
What is the BSBC?
Back in 2001 Bishops Stortford Business Connections (the BSBC) was formed by a group of businesses local to the Bishop's Stortford area. Its objective - to Connect Business to Business and Businesses to Customers
When and Where does the BSBC meet?
Meetings are normally held twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at the Coach and Horses, Thorley Street, Bishop's Stortford (see Events page for dates and map to venue). It is an early evening meeting beginning at 6pm for 6:30pm and ending at 8:00pm so your evening is still free.
What happens at a meeting?
The group is known for its jovial and informal ambience. Participants are given a 60-second opportunity to tell the group what their business offers, share news, testimonials and thank fellow members for business. Occasionally a guest speaker is invited or a member takes the opportunity to give a 20 minute talk. At other times the BSBC draws on its members' wealth of experience and facilitates open discussion to help members explore subjects that may benefit their business e.g. Ways to market your business
Is the BSBC a one-member for one-profession group?
Yes. In order to prevent any conflict of interest between members, the group has chosen to admit only one member from each profession.
Is the BSBC part of a franchise?
No, the BSBC is an independent group local to Bishop's Stortford
What does it cost?
The cost of membership comprises a non-refundable joining fee of £75 plus £25 per month thereafter (payable by standing order) to include the cost of food.
What are the benefits?
The most obvious benefit is the opportunity to gain more customers and find local suppliers you can trust. All members have the opportunity to promote their company on this website. They can also access a private part of the website to keep up with BSBC announcements, meeting notes, and share news, promotions and ask for help via discussion forums.
